Michael Jordan is arguably the best basketball player ever. The GOAT – Greatest Of All Time. He won 6 NBA championships with his Chicago Bulls side. In the 90s, Michael Jordan played 9 seasons and won the three-peat twice. He single-handedly dominated the league for a decade.

The one season he didn’t play in the NBA, he tried his hand at professional baseball. He played the 1993-94 season in the MLB for the Birmingham Barons. His one season in the MLB was not extraordinary, but for a professional basketballer to play 127 games was a clear proof of Michael’s athleticism and natural caliber as an athlete. Apart from being a basketball legend and trying out baseball, MJ also loves golf.

During his playing days as well, Michael Jordan always relaxed while playing golf. He had a keen interest in the game and had a second hobby in golf. Post retirement, he has continued playing golf. After retiring from the NBA, he has spent millions to have his own personal golf course. But to everybody’s shocked, hearing Michael Jordan was once kicked off a golf course.

Joe Rogan ridicules the golf course where Michael Jordan was kicked off for wearing cargo shorts

Yes, this is absolutely true. This has happened. Shocked? Michael Jordan, one of the greatest basketball players of all time, was “kicked off” a golf course because he was wearing cargo shorts. Joe Rogan, on his podcast The Joe Rogan Experience, discussed the incident. In conversation with Greg Fitzsimmons, he ridiculed the people who did not let MJ stay on their golf course because of his shorts.

“We were just talking about how they kicked Michael Jordan off a course because he was wearing cargo shorts whilst playing golf. That’s crazy. Wouldn’t you be happy that Michael Jordan’s on your f****** golf course?” said Joe Rogan.

Joe continued, “It [silly rules] doesn’t matter. It’s Michael Jordan! For sure people would show up if they find out he’s there —- I mean like more people would go to that course. People will be excited. The greatest basketball player of all time plays golf on your golf course.”

Obviously, the golf course issues some rules which everyone has to abide by. However, to think that Jordan was not allowed to play because of what he was wearing seems so unbelievable. But well, rules are rules even for the richest athlete on the planet.
