Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors had something to say about the Ayo Dosunmu’s choice of clothing. The Bulls’ star recently had his jersey retired at the University of Illinois, where he played for 3 years. The rookie returned to the State Farm Center and was given a rousing reception, and his jersey was raised to the rafters at halftime. But Green wasn’t really impressed with Ayo’s choice of clothes and let him know about it on Twitter.

The Chicago Native was selected in the second round by his hometown team, The Chicago Bulls in the 2021 NBA Draft. Currently, he is a key player for Billy Donovan in his rotation, and he energizes the team whenever he is on the floor.

Ayo Dosunmu finished 12th on the all-time scoring list with 1,504 points. He was voted in first-team All-American by the associated press, which is first for the history of the program. In his last season, he averaged over 20 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists.

“It was very emotional,” Dosunmu said. “I was trying to keep myself straight, smile through it all. I had a nice shirt on and didn’t want to mess it up.” He has his parents, siblings, family members, and even his Bulls teammate DeMar DeRozan show up to town for the occasion.

To know that no matter what, my cousins, friends, whoever comes to Illinois, my son or my daughter, my kids’ kids’ kids, whenever they look up there they’re going to see my name up there, that’s crazy,” Dosunmu said.

Twitter reacts to Draymond Green’s statements about Dosunmu

The Warriors star Draymond Green wasn’t impressed when he saw Ayo at his jersey retirement ceremony. Ayo had shown up in casual attire and Draymond wasn’t pleased when he saw that. He let him know about it on Twitter.

I’m not a big suit and tie guy. Wearing a suit doesn’t make you smart nor does it mean you are a good business person. But… To all the young brothers out there getting their jerseys retired, dress yourself up. Those pics will live forever! That brand you’re wearing WONT!
