NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal may be the most dominant center ever, but he has also been part of many teams. He played for a total of six teams in his career and almost all of them have been title contenders. But Shaq made a baffling statement about not joining Michael Jordan due to loyalty that left fans stunned.

Shaq’s first team was the Orlando Magic when he got drafted in 1992, where he formed a deadly partnership with Penny Hardaway. Then he went to the Los Angeles Lakers with Kobe Bryant. Later, he went to the Miami Heat to join Dwyane Wade.

After that, he went to the Phoenix Suns to play with Steve Nash. Next, he went to the Cleveland Cavaliers to play with LeBron James. And at last, he finished with the Boston Celtics before retiring in 2011.

But recently Shaquille O’Neal made a statement that stunned people. He said, “If I knew it was okay to join people, f**k, I would’ve joined the Bulls.”

Shaq and his journey in the NBA

Shaq started his journey with the Orlando Magic where he established himself as a star. He became a superstar quickly and was considered one of the best in the league. But his relationship with the Magic and the fans were not great, and he decided to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers.

There he had his best stretch as he won his only MVP award and won three titles with Kobe Bryant. The duo formed one of the deadliest forces in NBA history and the Lakers were one of the best teams. However, Shaq’s relationship with Bryant broke down after some time, and Shaq was subsequently traded to the Miami Heat.

Here he won another ring with Dwyane Wade, but during the later years, he had issues with his head coach. He was then traded to the Phoenix Suns where he could play with Steve Nash. After multiple playoff disappointments, Shaq was once again traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers where he joined forces with LeBron James. Finally, he spent his last year in the NBA with the Boston Celtics.
