Back in 2016, Stephen Curry had one of the greatest individual seasons in basketball history. Curry was leading the league in scoring and his team broke the record for most wins in a single season. Many called this team the greatest of all time, and Curry was the first unanimous MVP ever. Curry credited many people for this award, but a famous comedian claimed himself to be a part of Curry’s work.

Chris Rock is a famous comedian and actor and is currently trending because of the slapgate at the Oscars. After Curry won the award in 2016, Rock tried to say that he was part of his success. He even put out a tweet. He said, “Congrats to Stephen Curry on his second MVP award. All that work we put in paid off steph. We did it !”.

Curry had one of the greatest statistical seasons ever in 2016. He led the league in scoring (30.1) and Steals (2.1). He also shot lights out from three, going 45% from three. Curry also broke the record for most threes in a season with 402. He also shot over 50% from the field. The Golden State Warriors were the favorites to repeat, and they broke several records in the process. They started the season off, 24-0, and they lost only 9 games that season.

But the playoffs were a different story for Curry. In the first round, he hurt himself and he played only one-half of two games. In the second round, he missed the first three games. But he returned to drop 40 in game 4? and he led them to the Conference finals. In the conference finals, the Warriors came back? from 3-1 against OKC to reach the NBA finals. However, in the finals, Curry wasn’t himself even so, the Warriors were still up 3-1. Then the greatest comeback in NBA history happened and the Warriors and Curry could not repeat.
