On and off the court, Michael Jordan has made the big bucks. The Chicago Bulls legend is one of the greatest basketball players of all time, and a potent businessman. Jordan has his own personalized versions of many commodities. The most famous of these, is his shoe chain – the Jordans. Speaking of personalized, there was a time when the 14-time All-star even set up his own number plate. Back in 1992, he arrived at the stadium with his own plate at the back of his car.

Jordan’s career extended across nearly twenty years. During this time, he even retired more than once, but his love for the game brought him back. Along with Scottie Pippen, the 6-time NBA champion formed a deadly proposition on court. He was a one franchise player for a vast majority of his stint, until he joined the Wizards post his retirement. Yet, the unforgettable memories were made in red. Averaging over 30 points in his career, it is only natural that he was nicknamed ‘His Airness’.
When Michael Jordan drove into the arena with personalized plates

In the early 1990s, Jordan was peaking. The couple of seasons before 1992, he averaged close to 35 points every year. The guard forward had become an influential figure; one who was at the helm of greatness in the sport. With his net worth constantly rising, MJ had the best vehicles in town, including Ferrari cars. And one fine day, he decided to up the ante, driving into the arena with his own custom plates at the base. They read ‘M-AIR-J’.

It was a classic entry from an iconic figure. In response to the brilliant throwback, fans lauded the Bulls legend for the iconic moment. Jordan fans went berserk on social media, praising the man they look up to. Meanwhile, some fans even made hilarious Scottie Pippen comparisons. Take a look.
