Morant has had several controversies attached to his name. From punching a teenager to flashing firearms on multiple occasions, the Grizzlies star has been involved in numerous such incidents. His series of detrimental conduct this year alone has been too much for the NBA and the Grizzlies to handle. Earlier this year the 23-year-old star was banned for flashing a firearm on Instagram Live, while he was at a strip club. After serving a short punishment and issuing an apology, Morant was back to work with his team. However, the youngster could not keep the momentum going for too long.
Soon he was seen on his friend’s Instagram Live, flashing a firearm while driving around. The images from the IG live spread like wildfire and painted Morant as a repeat offender within a short period of time. The Grizzlies star was handed an infinite ban and the decision on his career was to be announced by the NBA after the finals.
Ever since the Denver Nuggets took home the trophy, speculations around Morant grew exponentially. Recently the NBA announced that there will be a 25-game ban imposed on the young star. The period of the ban will begin at the start of the 2023-24 season.
