After serving a short punishment and issuing an apology, Morant was back to work with his team. However, the youngster could not keep the momentum going for too long.

The images from the IG live spread like wildfire and painted Morant as a repeat offender within a short period of time. The Grizzlies star was handed an infinite ban and the decision on his career was to be announced by the NBA after the finals.

Ever since the Denver Nuggets took home the trophy, speculations around Morant grew exponentially. Recently the NBA announced that there will be a 25-game ban imposed on the young star. The period of the ban will begin at the start of the 2023-24 season.
