The GOAT debate is not just prevalent in the NBA but across all the leagues in the world. However, if we talk about NFL, there is nobody like Tom Brady. In fact, he is often compared with NBA GOAT and Chicago Bulls legend, Michael Jordan.
What makes them similar? Well, both had a significant impact in their respective sport, and won an insane number of championships!
Brady and Jordan had six rings each, but the equation changed after Super Bowl LV. The 43-year-old Tom Brady earned his seventh ring after defeating the Kansas City Chiefs, which also made him surpass Jordan.

Michael Jordan still way ahead of Tom Brady
While most NFL fans might now argue that Brady is somehow better than MJ, NBA Analyst Max Kellerman hardly agrees with the statement. So, he came to Jordan’s defense on ESPN’s ‘First Take’ and stated, “The GOAT in team sports is still Michael Jordan.”
“Michael Jordan, whenever he was given a chance, whenever he was on a team with one other All-Star, basically won the championship in under seven games. Except for Scottie Pippen’s first year as an All-Star. He was still pre-primed but he made an All-Star game. Had a migraine in Game 7. So, once again, Jordan was without an All-Star. Pippen scored 2 points in 40 minutes. They lost barely, Game 7, to the defending champs,” he explained.
“Every time realistically Jordan was in a position to win, he won in under seven games. It was 6 and 0 with six knockouts,” he concluded his argument.
What makes Jordan such a revered athlete?
Is it possible to have a GOAT conversation about Michael Jordan and not include LeBron James? Of course not. But this time Max talked about what makes Jordan’s image better than the others and that of Bron’s.

He asserted, “The reason Jordan’s brand is what it is, was not only the eyeball test. But his brand was synonymous with winning. It’s the reason his sneakers outsell LeBron’s.”
“If you did a poll on planet earth. Last shot or last possession of any game… It’s coming down to the wire, right? The fate of the universe is on the line. Jordan would win that vote in a landslide. The answer is still Michael Jordan. Brady is on the shortlist, but at the top of the list is Michael Jordan,” Kellerman rested his case.
