This season, most fans expected the Golden State Warriors to pick things up where they left off in the 2019 NBA Finals. However, in reality the Dubs are struggling to get in their groove. With half of season almost over, they are barely in the playoff race.
The Dubs have a record of 16-15 so far, but they could have improved their record in their previous game against the Charlotte Hornets. But to everyone’s surprise, the Dubs ended up losing the game. The biggest reason for that defeat was a late ejection to Draymond Green, which turned the tides of the game in favor of Charlotte.

After that close defeat, NBA analyst Stephen A. Smith talked about what’s next for the Dubs and Green. In an episode of ESPN’s “First Take,” Stephen A. said:
“If there is one person that can get into Draymond’s ear and be like yo bro, we need you. We can’t have you doing this man come let’s be cool about this, let’s handle this accordingly and talk to Draymond Green. In a manner that Draymond Green is embracing and accepting of whatever guidance they throw in his direction. It would be Steph Curry, far more than Steve Kerr.”

On the Warriors’ roster, Steph and Draymond have been there for the longest period of time. During that time span, the two have won three NBA Championships. So naturally, they share an amazing bond with one another.
Like Smith pointed out, if there is a player who can help Green in controlling his aggression, it’s Steph Curry. Moreover, being the leader of the team, there is a good chance that Green will actually listen to Curry’s points.
