In an already hectic campaign, these health issues come as a setback for franchises. Off late, many marquee signings have been entering the league’s health and safety protocols. The latest addition to this list is Washington Wizards forward Kyle Kuzma.

The Wizards have performed better than many people expected them to. Outdoing themselves, they are within the top-8 in the Eastern Conference. Some of the key contributors for the side have been the star duo of Bradley Beal and Kyle Kuzma. In addition, former Lakers duo of Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Montrezl Harrell have also lent helping hands. But with Kuzma set to miss out on multiple games now, the capital city will have to dig itself out a big hole.

Kyle Kuzma enters NBA health and safety protocol

Recently, numerous superstars have entered the health and safety protocol unit, including James Harden and Giannis Antetokounmpo. Now, Kuzma has joined the rest of the unhealthy players. So far, the 26-year-old averaged close to 14 points as a forward. In addition, his average rebounds and assists per game have also shot up from earlier. After a tough campaign with the Lakers, Kuzma was shown the exit doors. After a successful campaign at Washington so far, he is set to face a setback.

Last year, Kyle Kuzma had a disappointing outing with LeBron James and co. After being acquired by the Wizards, he grabbed his opportunity with both hands. According to the reliable Marc Stein, Kuzma, who has joined the league’s health and safety protocols, is questionable for Washington’s game against Sacramento. The evolution of his health will determine his availability. In another piece of shocking news, 28-year-old Sixers player Georges Niang has also joined him. He will miss at least Philadelphia’s next game, if not more.
