The Los Angeles Lakers sure managed to get many great players in free agency. However, there is always some sacrifice. One of the players they had to let go was Alex Caruso, who joined the Chicago Bulls. Safe to say, LeBron James is excited to see how that partnership pans out and is even eager to get a Chicago jersey of Caruso.

Bron and Caruso played together for a couple of seasons in LA. While the Akron Hammer took the spotlight most of the times, Caruso was not far behind. His popularity skyrocketed because of his athleticism; however, his impact was quite underrated.

Caruso is a young two-way player in the league. With the Lakers, he had a primary role as a bench player. Now, he has time to develop and, Chicago is one of the best places to do so. He will get much more playing time as compared to LA, which will allow him to develop well.

LeBron James can’t wait to get hands on a Caruso jersey

Recently, the ‘Bald Eagle’ shared a picture of himself in the new Bulls gear. He is with the franchise mascot, Benny the Bull, in the photograph. However, the main focus is on his jersey number; he will don the number 6 while playing for Chicago.

LeBron James commented on the post, calling Caruso his twin. He wrote, “My twin I need that 🐐 6 jersey ASAP!”

The main reason for this is because the ‘King’ himself is switching to the number 6 this season for the Los Angeles Lakers.

The change in jersey number for LeBron is reminiscent of his days in Miami. He wore 6 for all four seasons he played with the Heat and will now take it with the Lakers as well. A reason for his switch could come from Space Jam 2, wherein James wore the number 6.

In fact, he never planned on wearing 23 in his last two seasons. He was going to give it up for Anthony Davis, but Nike refused as the switch would have cost them millions of dollars.
