“My Six-Pack is Almost There”: Bodybuilding Enthusiast Shaquille O’Neal on Getting Shoved into a Christmas Tree by Rockets Legend

The Christmas break is upon us and so is the festive season’s fun. Recently, the Inside the NBA show joined in on the festivities with Christmas-themed post-match shows. Shaquille O’Neal and the whole crew were in a fun mood as the Lakers legend’s colleague pushed the seven-foot giant almost into a Christmas tree. The Big Aristotle was asked about it in a recent interview and the Big Diesel gave the most Shaq answer possible.

The four-time NBA Champion decided to show off his physique when he talked down on the incident. O’Neal sarcastically flaunted his physical prowess in response to Kenny Smith shoving him into the well-decorated tree.

The four-time NBA Champion and the Inside the NBA crew are so much more than just basketball analysts and broadcasters. Their hilarious banter on the set between the panelists have entertained fans for years now. With Christmas around the corner, the Houston Rockets legend Kenny Smith decided to push Shaquille O’Neal onto a Christmas tree during one of their usual fun segments.

Obviously, the whole studio was left wheezing at the hilarious sight. But fans wondered how could the 7′ giant, who is also a bodybuilding enthusiast, be done like that. Naturally, everyone was talking about it and a few days later even Shaq was questioned about it. In a recent interview with Esquire, the four-time NBA Champion addressed the rare occurrence.

“I feel wonderful. I’m in shape. I’ve got a 5.2 pack. My sixpack is almost there.” said the Big Aristotle. He further added, “When I was young, I always wanted to be a stuntman, so I would teach myself how to fall. When you’re pushed off balance, you’ve got to turn and try to find the middle of your back, right? If you try to go forward, your instinct should put your hands out.” 

All of this was a part of Shaq’s hilarious explanation of how Kenny Smith was able to do that to the seven-foot giant. After that, Shaq asked the interviewer “It looked good right?”

However, jokes apart, Shaq has performed stunts for movies before as a professional actor. Many fans are often surprised that Shaq risked his lucrative NBA career doing stunts for Hollywood movies.
