Amongst the many other players like Victor Oladipo, Ben Simmons, and Kemba Walker, Kyle Kuzma is one of those who has a lot to prove in the upcoming season. He was traded to the Washington Wizards after playing with the Los Angeles Lakers for four years. But when he was moved, there was speculation that the organization and Kuzma had some bad blood because of it. But with Kuzma’s latest post about his former team, it seems highly unlikely.
Kyle Kuzma reminisces about the good old days with the Lakers
When Kuzma had entered the league, he had immediately grabbed everyone’s attention with how good he was. Unfortunately that seemed to have faded away the last two seasons. In fact, fans wanted Kuzma to be moved last offseason itself but the purple and gold took a chance on him.

However, that barely helped because the Los Angeles Lakers needed him the most. With LeBron James and Anthony Davis, both, battling with injuries, Kuzma was supposed to be the backbone to rely on. Instead, he was a liability and had to be moved by hook or by crook. So, the Washington Wizards and Lakers struck a deal that moved him to DC.
This move sparked some controversy that the Kuzma might be holding some grudge against the team. And rightly so, because it seemed like he took some shots on Bron and the Lakers, both in a subtle way. But now, Kuzma remembering winning the 2020 NBA championship with them on this day last year, makes us think otherwise. The caption even said, “My Brothers 4L”.

Kuzma definitely showed plenty of excitement playing alongside Bradley Beal. Beal has been with the Washington Wizards ever since he joined the league, in spite of being advised otherwise. With Kyle, no more in the shadows of AD and LeBron will get a chance to help lead a team next to Beal.
This means plenty of room for growth but it will all depend on how he takes this opportunity. The Wizards haven’t started well in the offseason, losing both games to Houston Rockets and New York Knicks. But the preseason hardly determines what’s to come. One can only hope Kuzma finds his fit in DC or could be problematic.
