Sixers’ James Harden is currently being associated with rampant trade rumors and his recent action is only backing up the rumors. The Philadelphia 76ers (20-13) are having a great run this season, placing themselves fifth in the Eastern Conference. Moreover, the James Harden-Joel Embiid pairing has been crushing opponents one after the other. However, that might not be the case for long. It is quite possible that the NBA guard might not remain with the Sixers for long, despite Harden’s previously dismissive reaction toward the claims.

Acting as fuel to the fire, Harden’s recent comment on a particular Houston Rockets star’s picture on Instagram has only raised more eyebrows. While this could mean absolutely nothing or simply be Harden’s way of confirming the trade rumors, it undoubtedly caught the eye of the NBA world.

On Wednesday night, Josh Christopher uploaded several pictures on his Instagram handle. The Houston Rockets star looked dapper in a suit and sneakers complete with black shades. However, he was not alone. Looking just as debonair along with him were fellow Rockets teammates Jalen Green and AJ Martin. However, it was a particular comment that gained fans’ attention.

James Harden complimented the Rockets stars by dropping a comment that read, “Hot Boyz!!!!”

Sixers star dismisses possible Rockets reunion

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, James Harden will most likely join his former team, the Houston Rockets, in July 2023. As per reports, despite the fact that Harden had deliberately asked for a trade from the Rockets in 2021, the ‘Beard’ is considering returning back to the team where he played for nine seasons. The 2018 NBA MVP joined the Sixers in 2022, about a year after playing for the Brooklyn Nets for one season.

However, according to The Inquirer, when the 2017 NBA assists leader was asked about the reports, he denied having any knowledge about it and dismissed the question with a blunt reply.

“I’m here. We are playing very well. And I don’t know where the report came from. But I’m very excited to be here. We are playing well, and we’re continuing to get better,” Harden told the reporter.
