Giannis Antetokounmpo says everyone underestimated the Bucks

Giannis spoke about how the people wrote off Milwaukee thinking they are not a top level team. However, the Bucks worked hard throughout the season and were prepared for the battle of their lives. The Freak spoke about how everyone thought he could not pass and did not expect teammates, Holiday and Middleton, to be this good. He said:

“First of all, let’s start with this, motherf**kers did not know I could pass, because I was never at that level. We were never at the top level so they could see. So now they were able to experience how good Khris (Middleton) is, how good Jrue (Holiday) is, how good I am, how smart we are. That’s it.”

Giannis was amazing at spacing the floor in the playoffs this season. Notably, he averaged 5 assists per game in the finals.

Khris Middleton solidified himself as a bucket and clutch player through their journey. From scoring 32 points against the Hawks in Giannis’ absence to scoring 40 points in an NBA finals, he did it all. He was their primary scorer in the 4th, and Antetokounmpo learnt to work with that.

While Middleton and Giannis Antetokounmpo took lead on the offensive end, Jrue Holiday was all about defence. He did not have a great Finals in terms of scoring.

However, his defence was pivotal in the Bucks winning a championship. He averaged 2 steals through the finals. In addition, he put up 16 points per game.

To sum it up, the Milwaukee Bucks wrote their own destiny and worked hard to get there. Giannis Antetokounmpo & co have now proved that they are a team to look out for. Now, with the off season, the Bucks could add more firepower in their roster and compete for yet another championship.
