During the podcast, a Mavericks fan called and was worried the team could not land any superstars in the free agency. The fan wondered whether that was because of Cuban’s outspoken personality. However, Beverley does not think so. He stated that the billionaire was a great owner and noted that he is transparent, which might not be the case with other team owners.

According to a video clip posted by the PatBevPod YouTube channel, Beverley said, “He’s one of the owners that is really transparent with you. I think the problem you kind of face in this NBA is when you don’t know what ownership wants and ownership isn’t around and give you their views of how they feel about stuff you know. But he’s one of those owners to tell you exactly what’s going on. And free agency, people love Dallas.”

Furthermore, he also gave major props to superstar Luka Doncic. Beverley admitted building around Doncic is the key and said he can also take pressure off his teammates. So Beverley felt the Mavs would be an excellent destination for free agents.
