Shaquille O?Neal and former NFL star Adam Jones recently joined the crew of The Pat McAfee Show. During the sit-down, the four-time NBA champion opened up about a lot of interesting things. He answered questions about his childhood, entrepreneurship, NBA career etc. In one instance, the host asked Shaq whether he still likes to appear on NBA on TNT despite getting so much backlash for his honest opinions.
In response, the Big Diesel noted that athletes of his generation would be fired up if a veteran criticized them. He added that the current players consider criticism as “diss” and call the critics like himself “haters” for the comments.
“Yeah, I do. I’m gonna just always try to be as respectful as I can and just try to talk about what I know from my experience…Never trying to be personal…Because I do have the answers,” Shaq said.
He then revisited his take on players not taking criticism well. Shaq declared that he has all the answers because of his vast experience in the league. The Big Aristotle added, “When it comes to the NFL and being great, Pacman[Jones] has the answers. So when you speak, young players should listen. If you don’t wanna listen, do it your way.”
Looks like the Los Angeles Lakers legend is loving his job with TNT. During the podcast, he also revealed a piece of interesting information about the hit show. While answering a question about Ernie Johnson, Shaq said that Ernie is funnier than him or Charles Barkley.
