Amidst all the excitement, Dwayne Wade made a tweet that caught everyone’s attention. Retweeting a meme in which a goat is looking at the mirror, captioned “D Wade waking up today like:”, the former Miami Heat player added his own caption: “I grew up believing if you say something in the mirror 3 times it will appear”. This tweet was followed by an interview with ESPN where Wade got candid about his emotions.

When asked about his induction into the Hall of Fame, Wade said, I think we all probably go through a range of emotions. Wade then went on to reflect on the importance of the moment and the significance of being inducted into the Hall of Fame. He said, “Pau[Gasol] and I share a brother in Kobe Bryant,  24 and all of us in the NBA, we share a brother that didn’t get the opportunity to take these steps that we’re taking today. So, I think all of us are just really numb in this moment, but just really taking it all in because we understand the importance of each day.”
