He is adored around the world and fans go crazy when they meet him. And this time, it was the mother of a young NBA star who had the opportunity to meet LeBron.

Trey Murphy III is an NBA rookie who was drafted 17th overall by the Memphis Grizzlies and later traded to the New Orleans Pelicans. And he had arguably the best game of his young career as he finished with 21 points and 4 rebounds. That too against LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers. He was an integral part of the Pelicans’ comeback. And after the game, LeBron shared a wholesome moment with Trey and his mother.

Trey may have been LeBron’s opponent today, but he and his family are huge fans of ‘The King’. After the game, he had a chance to meet LeBron and talk to him. And he introduced his mother to LeBron, who was elated to meet him. She even took a picture to commemorate the moment.

She was in tears and was screaming with joy after she finally met LeBron James. Bill Oram, a reputed reporter, said that he told Trey’s mom that her son had just beat LeBron. But she replied saying, “But that’s LeBron”

It was nice to see the four-time MVP put aside a disappointing loss and take a moment to fulfill the fan’s wish. Even though it was a person who just beat him and may have put him out of the playoffs. This was a must-win game for the Lakers, but they failed to come away with the victory.
