Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson denied any kind of relationship rumors with Instagram model and aspiring actress Abigail Ratchford live on air. The 5-time All-star had been linked to the IG sensation with 9.1 million followers during the offseason in 2017.

It is nothing new for NBA players to date Instagram models and internet sensations. Especially for Klay Thompson, whose dating life first came into media attention after the Dubs shooting sensation was seen with internet personality Hannah Stocking.

While his fellow ‘Splash brother’ and Warriors teammate Stephen Curry is known to be a married man, Thompson enjoys being single and has been linked to many popular women, from basketball player Tiffany Suarez to Mexican actress Eiza Gonzalez.

Ratchford started dating rumors with Klay Thompson after she posted a photo of his adorable dog Rocco on Instagram. She also posted an image of one of Thompson’s bedrooms.

The portion of the bedroom had a bunch of basketballs lying around on top of a cupboard, implicating the obvious. Later on, she wrote on Twitter, “That was the best I’ve slept in a year“.

Ratchford surely enjoyed her time with Thompson. Klay fans got excited at the prospect of their favorite player getting a new girlfriend.

But the Warriors shooting guard didn’t disclose anything about the situation at that moment.

Klay Thompson clears relationship rumors

The internet had started speculating about dating rumors between Thompson and Ratchford for months. But the 3-time NBA champion finally cleared the air.

In an interview on a San Francisco-based radio show, Thompson said that he was about to take Rocco for a walk in the park. The radio host inquired whether anyone special will be holding Rocco’s leash.

“With Rocco? Oh, no no no no no. [I?m] just being good. I?m just trying to find a wholesome lady out there. That?d be nice,” the 32-year-old replied.

So that put to bed any kind of speculation about Ratchford. Although, it is unknown how he felt about the 30-year-old model posting Rocco’s picture on her social media.

Meanwhile, Klay Thompson has also been linked with ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ actress Laura Harrier. However, any update on their current dating status is unavailable.

Right now, the Warriors shooting guard has a gargantuan task at hand. The responsibility to guard Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic.
