It seems like Israel Adesanya is a huge fan of NBA superstar LeBron James. Who wouldn’t be? King James has got a huge fanbase and one of them is the UFC champion, who is an excellent athlete himself. The mixed martial artist recently shared his fan moment with LeBron. In a recent interview with Taylor Rooks, Adesanya talked about the time he met the 18x All-Star at rapper Drake’s house.

Getting starstruck upon seeing your favorite celebrity is something that almost every fan has experienced. If you are a big fan of someone and admire them, your one wish would be to probably meet them in person. And this is not limited to just regular fans. Even celebrities have someone they like and admire. Therefore, it is completely normal for even them to get spell bounded upon meeting their idols.

During the interview, Rooks mentioned seeing Adesanya at Drake’s house. She then proceeded to ask him about his experience there.

“I didn’t even know we were on the basketball court till I looked up… Just seeing everyone around, even Lebron pulled up. We talked for like a minute 20. I wasn’t expecting to see him. So that one kind of got me like, ‘Oh sh*t! Did that just happen?'” revealed Adesanya during the Bleacher Report interview.

Rooks asked him how the starry encounter with LeBron James went. Adesanya replied that while it was hard to explain, the meeting was pretty much civil and both athletes expressed their admiration for each other’s craft.

Israel Adesanya faced Brazilian mixed martial artist Alex Pereira on November 12, 2022. The Last Stylebender had remained the UFC middleweight champion for the past three years. However, it seems like Pereira keeps getting the best of him. The former kickboxer had earlier defeated Adesanya twice in kickboxing before claiming the Middleweight title at UFC 281 held at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night.

“It’s another great story for him, but it’s not over. This is still war,” said Adesanya after the bout.

Adesanya is undoubtedly one of the best MMA fighters in the world. However, Pereira has rapidly climbed up the ladder to become one of the top fighters in the division. Following the fight, Adesanya is now waiting in anticipation for a rematch between him and Pereira.
