The game is now known among Athletics fans as a ‘reverse boycott game.’ As preparations for the boycott are in full swing, NBA superstar Stephen Curry has spoken up on the importance of keeping A’s in Oakland. “Just keeping as many professional teams in this area because it matters. The community has something to look forward to and be proud of and bring out that Oakland pride,”?Curry said in an interview with ABC News.

Curry also added that he is still able to reach the fanbase in Oakland despite moving to San Francisco. Moreover, Stephen Curry also said he really hopes that the Athletics will stay in Oakland. Maybe the ‘reverse boycott’ will affect the future of the franchise.

Oakland faithful prepare for the reverse boycott game

According to Sports Illustrated, the Athletics’ booster club Oakland 68’s plans to raise $25,000 in order to print 5,000 t-shirts for the ‘reverse boycott’ game. The booster club plans to give away t-shirts that read, “Sell.” As per the recent report, Oakland 68’s has been able to raise $18,000 for the cause.
