During a match against the LSU Tigers and the Iowa State Cyclones, LSU Tigers player, Eric Gaines pulled off a mesmerizing block.
The match ended with a 59-54 for Iowa with the block by Gaines being one of the highlights of the game. Interestingly enough, this block by the youngster is on the lines of the block pulled off by LeBron James during the NBA finals of 2017.
James chased down Andre Iguodala of the Golden State Warriors to save a crucial point for his team and put himself in NBA history. Talking about the block, Iguodala said, “I’m like, ‘Man, that [block] was so dope to me, too.’ I was a fan.”
Taking advantage of a missed flyer by Kyrie Irving, Iguodala led the Warriors counter-attack, but LeBron James took matters into his own hand to keep the scores tied at 89-89.
Although the Warriors won the finals over the Cleveland Cavaliers, James’ block remains one for the history books.
Fans react to the block by the youngster
With the LSU sophomore pulling off one of the blocks of the season, NBA Twitter has given their reactions. Here are some of the best reactions to the block.
