The only question that initiates a fight between NBA fans is: ‘Who is the greatest of all time?’ This is a question that has always divided fans and caused heated debates. Be the past or the present, the competition to win more rings, win more MVPs, and move up the stats board is ever-lasting for players. Although, there are a few who frequently come up in the talks, those players who a majority of fans choose over others. NBA legend Michael Jordan and Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James seem to top the list. 

Fans often find it difficult to choose one from another, due to their greatness on the court. Both greats have topped in every possible stat as well. Although, former NBA great with the Phoenix Suns, Eddie A Johnson seems to have made his choice.

Johnson recently shared his thoughts on Twitter, mentioning, “Is it me or do you basketball fans feel like MJ fanboys are scattering and panicking at the sight of what LBJ is about to do? It’s ok. We know!”.

Johnson, in addition to the tweet, replied to MJ fans who tried to defend their idol.

In a reply to a fan defending MJ, Johnson mentioned, “LBJ is the best all-around basketball player ever”. Notably, James is now shy less than 40 points from becoming the all-time scoring leader in the NBA.

The Lakers lose to the Pelicans, as LeBron tries to close in on Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

The Lakers lost 131-126 to the New Orleans Pelicans to end their two-game win streak. James’s 27 points and Anthony Davis‘s 34 points, were not enough for the Lakers to get past the Pelicans. With the Lakers struggling down as the 13th seed in the Western Conference, the expectation for a trade before the deadline is increasing.

James is 36 points away from reaching the most awaited milestone, as the Lakers are set to face the Oklahoma City Thunder next, at their home arena.
