CJ McCollum compares Clippers’ Eric Bledsoe to LeBron James
Lakers have been one of the busiest teams in the off-season as they have pulled off multiple trades and multiple free agent signings. While Clippers haven’t been as active their cross-town rivals, they have made some subtle changes to their roster.
One of the biggest risks they made was trading the duo of Rajon Rondo and Patrick Beverley for former Bucks’ guard Eric Bledsoe. Blazers’ guard CJ McCollum recently was all praises for the Clippers’ guard and compared him to LeBron James.
“I’m a big fan of Eric Bledsoe. He’s like mini LeBron. Super athletic explosive can lead a team, can run a team. Has had some great years of basketball, especially with the Phoenix Suns.”
McCollum explained Clippers pulling off the Bledsoe move was impressive. “I like the Bledsoe move. Personally, I think he’s a good defender. He’s aggressive, he’s athletic, he’s explosive.”
While Bron generally plays as a small forward, the Lakers’ forward generates the majority of the offensive action. Given his skill-set, he is often being compared to some to multiple top point guards so Bledsoe being compared to Bron shouldn’t be a big surprise.

The 31-year-old might have lost a step in his game but Bledsoe can still play a key role in a team like the Clippers. While the likes of Beverley and Rondo added elite defense and passing, the duo’s offensive contribution was streaky to say the least.
Entering a season where superstar Kawhi Leonard will miss multiple games, Paul George surely could use some help. If the likes of Reggie Jackson and Bledsoe could chip in the Clippers can be a competitive team. While the Clippers’ will miss ‘the Klaw’, it will be fascinating to see how they perform against Lakers. How far do you think Clippers will reach this season?
