The Milwaukee Bucks signed DeMarcus Cousins earlier this season, who has appeared in 16 games for the team. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Bucks plan to waive Cousins in order to get flexibility for the players as well as the team. This comes as a piece of surprising news considering the fact that he has been impressive in his performances.
With their loss against the Toronto Raptors at 117-111, they have lost two matches consecutively. Despite scoring an impressive 77 points in the first half, the Bucks couldn’t overcome their competitors. Pascal Siakam had a tally of 33 points and six assists in the entire game.

As for the Bucks, they struggled to begin the season, but now they have an impressive 25-15 record and are ranked third in the Eastern Conference. After Bucks got the shocking news about Brook Lopez’s back injury very early on in the course of the campaign, the team acquired former NBA All-Star DeMarcus Cousins.

Currently, the team is seeking roster flexibility, which makes Cousins a free agent. Off the bench, Cousins scored 15 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. On average, he scores 8.7 points and 5.5 rebounds per game for the team.

In response to Cousins’ waiving to make an open spot at the roster, Bucks GM Jon Horst said this to ESPN :
“We wouldn’t have been able to get through this difficult stretch of the season as successfully as we did without DeMarcus...He was so good for us and hopefully, we helped him too.”
