Last season, the Milwaukee Bucks yet again bounced out of the playoffs earlier than expected. This led to many believing that Giannis Antetokounmpo was on his way out of the franchise.
However, in the 2020 offseason, Giannis re-signed with the team for the biggest contract in league history. The Greek Freak proved that he is loyal to soil and will do everything in his power to win an NBA Championship with the Bucks.
During the short offseason break, there were many rumors around his future with the team. People speculated his agent had some role in pushing Giannis Antetokounmpo to sign the contract.

But it was recently revealed that was not the case at all- Antetokounmpo signed the contract of his own free will.
Giannis Antetokounmpo speaks about his agent, Alex Saratsis
In an interview with “Complex,” both Giannis and Alex cleared some air about their relationship. Giannis said:
“The most important thing he told me is that he wanted me to be happy, and to be comfortable with my choice. We talked about every single option for months, but at the end of the day he knows me, and knows what matters the most to me and my family.”
Giannis further talked about the common misbelief about his relationship with Alex Saratsis. The Greek Freak continued:
“I don’t think people understand the kind of relationship me and my family has with Alex. He is as close to family to me as anyone that is not blood related can be.”
The relationship between a player and an agent is built on nothing but trust. After all, a player is handing the agent the keys to their future in the league. Keeping everything in mind, it’s safe to assume that Saratsis did what was best for his client.
