Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry is undoubtedly one of the faces of the league today. And any of his game-worn memorabilia generally fetches thousands of dollars. Curry is also known to be a major philanthropist. He even once donated proceedings from his memorabilia for a noble cause that amounted to over $45,000.
Back in 2016, the Bay Area witnessed one of the most devastating accidents. The Ghost Ship warehouse fire was an accident that occurred in December 2016 when 36 people tragically lost their lives. It was the deadliest fire in the history of Oakland. The fire was caused due to an event being hosted in an industrial place. And the entire community mourned as one.

Stephen Curry, who is worth over $160 million, sold his shoes for victims
Stephen Curry, who has been part of the Golden State Warriors for his entire career, was shocked at the incident. And he wanted to help the victims. So Curry auctioned off two of his shoes. The first pair were game-worn shoes against the New York Knicks, while the second one was a warmup shoe. The game-worn shoes fetched $30,101 while the warmup shoe got $15,100.

The total was a little over 45K, which was donated to the benefit victims of the Oakland Ghost Ship fire. Curry even made a statement, “We were all devastated by the news of this tragedy and the loss of so many young lives right here in our community. My goal in wearing these shoes was to not only honor the victims that lost their lives that night, but also to raise awareness for the relief efforts that are underway.?
“Hopefully through this auction we can help further assist with those efforts,” Stephen?Curry added.
