For instance, Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal once gifted LeBron a special car. After driving around in the car, LeBron got obsessed with luxury cars and he has expanded his phenomenal collection over the years.

Former NBA champion Shaquille O’Neal has played for numerous teams in the league. While he has found success in most of them, his time in some teams is worth forgetting.

Shaq played for the Cleveland Cavaliers for the 2009-10 season and he formed a great relationship with LeBron James. For LeBron’s 25th birthday, Shaq gifted his teammate a Rolls Royce worth around $450,000. Interestingly enough, this gift from Shaq started James’ obsession with luxury cars.

From that point on, James maintained a flashy car collection. His car collection includes custom Lamborghinis, a Porche 911 turbo, a Porche 918 Spyder, and various other luxurious cars. Moreover, his phenomenal car collection is worth around a whopping $6.4 million!

After winning the 2020 NBA title with the Los Angeles Lakers, LeBron decided to gift himself one of the rarest cars in the world. He bought a Mercedes Maybach Landaulet which cost him around $1.8 million.

LeBron James’ acquisition of the car meant that he joined an exclusive club. The Mercedes Maybach Landaulet is an extremely rare sighting and there are only about 99 models of this car.

While it is quite evident that LeBron and Shaq shared a good relationship off the court, the same can be said about their relationship on the court.

Playing with O’Neal, LeBron averages 29.7 points, 8.5 assists, and 7.2 rebounds in 53 games. On the other hand, Shaq averages 12.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in 53 games with LeBron.
