NBA Legend Shaquille O’Neal has some of the craziest stories ever heard. Some of the stories of the former Lakers man are so crazy that are very hard to believe and are hilarious. Shaq continues to add to his insane stories by buying cheap wine from Walmart due to a bizarre reason.

Shaq has been very active on his podcast and makes sure he does an episode regularly. In a most recent episode, the Lakers legend was talking about when he was traveling and, due to a laptop malfunction, he had to do it on his phone. He was having a wine tasting and was naming wines from different places. Or what seemed like made-up places?

Shaquille O’Neal buys cheap wine just to fill his wine cellar

Shaq, as we all know, is one of the richest players in NBA history. His lifestyle is very extravagant. Shaq’s house is one of the biggest ever and he obviously would have a wine cellar. But he doesn’t indulge much in wine and does not know a lot about it.

On the podcast, said,” My favorite wine is Trader Joe’s,” which is considered a rival to one of Shaq’s companies. Shaq continues,” I got this wine cellar in my house. I know nothing about wines. So I went to Trader Joe’s and Walmart and bought like 50 bottles of cheap wine just to make it look good. Oh, now I’m cool”

With the amount of money that Shaq gets, he could afford the most expensive wines available. But Shaq just wanted to fill up his cellar, so he just bought some inexpensive wines so that it looks fancy.

Shaq once spent $70000 at Walmart

Another of Shaq’s bizarre stories is when he spent a ridiculous of money at Walmart, which is considered to be a place where people buy affordable stuff. Shaq spent $70000 at Walmart, which he claims is the biggest purchase in Walmart history.

Shaq says ” So I get traded from Miami to Phoenix. I’m a type of guy who has no patience. So when I get to Phoenix, they have an apartment for me, nothing’s in it…I got to go get 4-5 TVs, I got to go get printers, I got to get laptops… sheets, towels, underwear, t-shirts. So, in the end, it was 70000″

He says that he tried to use his credit card and it got declined. And sometime later, the security from the bank contacted him and told him his card was stolen and someone was trying to buy 70000 worth of stuff from Walmart. When Shaq said it was actually him, they were shocked, but they approved the transaction.
