The Golden State Warriors are one of the best-run franchises today. They develop their young talent, make the right trades, sign the right free agents, and have a winning culture. Moreover, they follow a set of rules that don’t discriminate against anyone. Even for superstars like Stephen Curry and Draymond Green, who were fined for coming late to the flight. That too was because of Drake, who once talked trash to both these superstars.

The 2019 NBA Finals was a matchup between the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors. The Raptors came out victorious and stopped the Warriors’ three-peat. One constant presence during the games was Drake, who is known to be a huge Raptors fan.
Drake was hyped that his team made the Finals, and he was seen talking trash to the Warriors after Game 1. He got into it with Green when he was leaving the court. And later, he even got into it with Curry.
Draymond Green and Stephen Curry were fined because of Drake
The Warriors are said to be a very disciplined organization, and they have rules for everybody. Even for departure times. And this was one such incident where Stephen Curry and Draymond Green were late. Their head coach, Steve Kerr, recalled an incident at a press conference.
He said, “Eric Housen, our travel man, called Steph, and he said, ‘Oh, my fault, I’m with Drake and Draymond, we’re at the arena still, sorry we’re late. We had a team rule at the time, that you could bring a friend on the plane a couple times a year.”

This is a pretty incredible story as this showed the Warriors’ importance of punctuality and discipline. It doesn’t matter how big a superstar you are, the Warriors will hold you responsible and make you abide by the rules.
