Kobe Bryant is a name that resonates with millions of fans around the world. The Los Angeles Lakers legend was widely regarded as one of the best players during his time in the NBA and was an influential figure for millions around the world.

While Kobe has numerous fans around the world, it seems he was a Harry Potter and Game of Thrones fan. When asked about his most prized possession, many expected him to answer with some of his NBA achievements.

However, Bryant gave a really interesting answer. He talked about his Harry Potter and Game of Thrones books, which were his prized possessions. Interestingly enough, he revealed that these will be the first things he will save in case his house catches fire.

Kobe said, “I have three things. One of them is a Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s stone first edition signed by J. K. Rowling. If the house is burning, I’m grabbing that! Straight up, I’m grabbing that.”

He further added, “I have a Game of Thrones series signed to me by George R. R. Martin and I have the Dear Basketball score signed to me by John Williams. So, if something’s going around in the house, I’m grabbing those three things first.”

Where did Kobe Bryant live?

The 5 time NBA champion spent the majority of his life living in Orange County, an area located in Los Angeles. Although the trip to the Los Angeles Lakers training facility was inconvenient, Kobe decided to stay there.

He lived in a lavish home with his family located in Pelican Crest, Orange County, which gave a majestic view of the Pacific Ocean. Bryant’s estate is a custom-built 15,760-square-foot, four-story home with its own set of gates. 

Moreover, he developed his businesses in the same county. He announced the launch of Kobe Inc. in 2014, which was based in Newport Beach. His venture was started to develop brands that will help the sports industry, with the first major investment being BodyArmor.
