Based on his recent Instagram live, Drake might be one of the luckiest celebrities out there. The millionaire had gone live with Goldin Auctions founder Ken Goldin, where they unboxed card boxes. Drake ended up pulling a Michael Jordan rookie card, which can apparently cost anything above $50,000 based on its condition.
The card was a part of the 1986 Fleer basketball set and is something Drake was looking for, for some time now.
Of course, Drake and Goldin’s reaction was iconic. After all, the chances of pulling the card were low.

Drake pulls a rare Michael Jordan card on IG live
Since card collecting has been on the rise, certain cards tend to be on the expensive side. Older Jordan cards are always expensive, this one often selling as per the condition. As per reports, this can sell for anything from $50,000 to $700,000.
Drake’s reaction was expected. The rapper yelled after the card was revealed, and was off his seat to celebrate. Goldin was just as loud, letting out a string of ‘oh my gods’ and ‘oh sh**s’. He even came ahead to show everyone the card, a big smile present on his face.
“I switched packed, by the way,” Drake explained on Instagram.
Fans remained equally amused at the card. Though many wondered about the odds, some remained unsurprised at Drake getting it.
What other cards did Drake get?
During the live, Drake ended up getting five more Jordan cards. He got two regular rookie cards along with three rookie MJ stickers. Including the 1996 Fleer card, Drake pulled six MJ cards in total.
Additionally, Drake and Goldin also unboxed 2003-2004 Topps Chrome Basketball cards, along with some Panini Flawless Basketball boxes. Since Goldin was with Drake, the singer could have procured the boxes from the Auction house founder.

Drake is also looking for a Triple Logoman LeBron and had purchased fourteen 2020-21 Panini Flawless before the live.
Furthermore, his love for basketball has only recently translated into card collecting. With countless resources at his side, it should be easier for Drake to look for some cards. After all, it is not easy for a regular collector to get hold of some older, expensive cards.
