Millionaire Actor Idris Elba, Who Was Once Voted Sexiest Man Alive, Wants to Play Michael Jordan Even After Rejection

Sports documentaries are all the rave today. After The Last Dance, many have wanted to make a biopic of Michael Jordan. And the Millionaire actor Idris Elba wanted to play the iconic role of Jordan. However, Jordan rejected the idea and said that this is still not the time. But Elba, who was voted the sexiest man alive, is not ready to give up just yet.

Elba wanted to play Jordan for some time now, and he even stated the idea to His Airness. He said that he did not want to play with Jordan, the basketball player. Rather, he wanted to play the businessman. He says that Jordan is a very astute businessman and very smart. And his role as a philanthropist is something that people have not understood. And often overlooked.

Despite a meticulous plea, Jordan shot down the idea and said he was not ready for that story to be out yet.

Elba appeared on LeBron James’s show ‘The Shop’ and he reignited the talk about wanting to play Jordan. He says, ” I want to breathe life into something that I have never done before. By the way, I said out publicly I wanted to play Michael Jordan. Boom. Just put it out there. ”

Then Kyrie Irving, who was also on the show, gave a weird look and the other stars questioned if he can play ball. So Elba said,” It isn’t about hooping, it is about Michael Jordan, the businessman… Michael Jordan, the business has never exercised in a story form. The hooping is definitely relevant… But if I’m going to dissect a story about him, it wouldn’t be about hooping”

The story of Michael Jordan as a basketball player is pretty well documented. And he is still worshipped to this day. However, his rise as the richest athlete in history has never been shown. In fact, Jordan rarely talks about that side, and Elba wants to show that to the world.
