However, considering his track record of leaving a team suddenly after making promises to stay, it’s pretty unclear whether the eight-time All-Star would stay or not – only time will tell. The 2016 NBA champion is eligible to sign a five-year contract worth $272 million with the Mavs. Moreover, he also has another opportunity: sign a four-year contract worth $201.7 million with any other team in the league.
