The Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Bucks battled it out to take a vital lead in their seven-game series of the Western Conference Finals. If history has taught us anything, the team that wins the third game at 1-1, usually ends up as the winner of the series. And by winning Game 3, the Bucks have this key stat to back them up, thanks to their 113-102 win.
Milwaukee Bucks continue their momentum
In the previous game, despite the Bucks’ poor shooting in the first half, they ended up with a 125-91 victory. This had a lot to do with Trae Young not being able to pull off another one of his stellar performances. The Hawks’ lone hero could only record 15 points for them, which was not good enough to win the match despite the Bucks’ shortcomings.

But it seemed like Trae came prepared for a do-or-die situation on the home court. He added a whopping 35 points to the scoreboard. Unfortunately for him, the Bucks had far more scorers.
Khris Middleton compiled 38 points, 11 rebounds, and 7 assists. And of course, Giannis Antetokounmpo was right behind him with 33 points and 11 rebounds of his own.
The only other player who made some decent contribution for Atlanta was Danilo Gallinari with 18 points.
The Hawks should be extremely worried after losing Game 3. Unless they plan on defying odds and proving the above statistic wrong, the Bucks are running away with their ticket to the NBA Finals. In fact, fans are unable to fathom the result of the match either, despite Trae’s brilliance.

Up till now, the Atlanta Hawks have surprised us with every step. Nobody thought that they would reach the postseason as the fourth-seeded team, let alone be fighting it out with one of the most dominant teams in the East to reach the NBA Finals.
Middleton, who has become the cornerstone of the Bucks, besides Giannis, was brilliant in this game. He helped carry the Bucks to the finish line in this game by giving them a much-needed 8 point lead in the crucial minutes of the game.
The Hawks’ biggest problem is not having someone to back Trae Young. Unless another player steps up, it’ll be hard for Trae to pull off wins every night. Do you think the Hawks can come back and tie the series again?
