Michael Jordan?s Son Marcus Ridiculed Kanye West?s ?Laughable? Dig at Air Jordans in 2016

Kanye West has found himself in a controversial situation after his alleged anti-semitic comments in recent times. His comments toward the Jewish community have landed the American rapper in a great deal of trouble. Adidas recently dropped West following his comments, as his net worth plummeted from $1.5 million to $400 million. Back in 2016, Kanye West trashed Nike Air Jordan shoes by claiming that his Yeezy were superior shoes. The son of Michael Jordan, Marcus Jordan, had immediately responded to West’s comments and ridiculed him for taking a dig at the Air Jordans.

Kanye West often found himself in the midst of controversy. However, his music, smart investments, and partnership had earned him a billionaire status.

West took a dig at Michael Jordan‘s legendary Air Jordans by claiming his Yeezy brand to be superior. Subsequently, Marcus responded to West’s statement with a hilarious tweet. He wrote, ” “Yeezy just jumped over @Jumpman23??” LOL I needed a good laugh to start my 2016″

As a matter of fact, Kanye West launched the Air Yeezy in 2009 in a partnership with Nike. After ending his association with Nike in 2013, Ye moved his Yeezy brand to Adidas. Meanwhile, the Air Jordans have been a style statement for over thirty years. The Air Jordans are still in demand just like Michael Jordan’s legacy.?

Incidentally, Kanye took a dig at Jordan’s signature shoes after separating from Nike. “Yeezy, Yeezy, Yeezy just jumped over Jumpman,” the lyrics read. Therefore, Marcus decided to defend his father against Ye’s dig with a rebuttal of his own.

Marcus Jordan opened his own Michael Jordan-inspired sneakers store named the Trophy Room a few years ago. The store was inaugurated in 2016 by MJ himself in Chicago. The Trophy Room honors the legacy of Michael Jordan as an NBA legend and is inspired by Jordan’s original trophy room at his home. Thus, Marcus Jordan had a fair bit of idea about shoes when he responded to Ye’s laughable dig at Air Jordans.
