Marcus Jordan has always been under the shadow of his father, the great Michael Jordan. It is not always you see him open up to interviews. Marcus, too, was a former basketball player and played for the UCF Knights in college but left the game like his brother Jeffrey in 2013. He graduated college with a degree in hospitality management and decided to do nothing with the game his father played.
Marcus doesn’t do too many interviews but in a 2019 interview, he revealed that the Jordan was the “go-to” house on the block. Many celebrities used to come and go through the house.

Marcus said, “I found an old binder from grade school when Jay-Z and Beyonce came over to my house.” He remembers Scottie Pippen, baseball player Frank Thomas, Charles Oakley, and Charles Barkley as well.
The “eccentric” Dennis Rodman too used to visit his home. The former player gave Jordan’s son some hair dye on his birthday which he was not allowed to use by his parents.
Marcus revealed that he was very upset that he didn’t get to use it.
Michael Jordan encouraged Marcus and his other kids to have fun
Marcus is Jordan’s eldest son with former wife Juanita Vanoy. Him and Vanoy officially parted ways in the year 2006.
Despite all of that, Jordan did play a good dad to Marcus. In another interview on the Today Show, all the siblings discussed their family dynamic.
Early in his life, according to Jeffrey, he was more conscious of his father’s fame. The siblings all regarded their upbringing in the family’s dynamic as “fortunate.” Michael only wanted his sons to enjoy life at the end of the day, even though they were both basketball players.
Marcus also was able to play games on a Playstation device on a private plane when he was young. He was Jordan’s son, at the end of the day.
But he was raised very normally otherwise by his mother. He was admitted to a public school and wasn’t spoilt as a kid. They found a nice balance between the perks and the responsibilities.
