At the time, Dennis Rodman was still developing, and Isiah Thomas was the superstar of the team. And Rodman once revealed that Isiah saved his NBA career.

Dennis Rodman shows love for Isiah Thomas

The Detroit Pistons drafted Dennis Rodman as the 3rd pick in the second round of the 1986 NBA draft. And he fit right in with the ?Bad Boys? Pistons. And as one of the leaders of the team, Isiah Thomas took him under his wing. But it turns out that Thomas helped him off the court as well.

During an interview about Dennis Rodman?s documentary, ?For Better Or Worse?, he revealed that Isiah saved his career. The interviewer asked about Thomas crying in the documentary while talking about some of the issues Rodman was going through.

Dennis said that he was like a big brother to him. He said that Isiah would leave everything to take care of Rodman in the middle of the night. Dennis said that Thomas knew Rodman wasn?t very bright in making decisions and helped him.

Rodman revealed, ?He?s been on my side from day one. The things I said about Larry Bird in the ?87 playoff series, he took all the heat for me, which I didn?t know then, and he pretty much saved my career at that time.?

He also said that Thomas knows his ups and downs and loves him like a family. Dennis Rodman said that Isiah and his family believed in him. He said that Isiah has been the same person ever since and he respects him for that.?
