According to a report from Business Insider, a pair of Michael Jordan’s game-worn sneakers from 1996 was sold for $92,135. The pair of Air Jordan 11 “Concords” was also autographed by the six-time champion. Rally is a company that buys different types of collectibles. They are the ones who sold the “Concords” and almost doubled their investment.
The first offer for the sneaker was $65,000 which came in last week. Then another bidder came to the fore with a $70,000 offer. As the collectors battled it out, one lucky winner finally outbid everyone with a bid of $92,135.

This has not only proven Jordan’s popularity but also proven that sneakers can be considered worthwhile investments. Despite the struggles of Nike in the market and its drop in share value, sneakers are still being sold for huge profits. Air Jordan sneakers are sold out as soon as they are dropped and are then sold for huge margins. On the other hand, sneaker memorabilia is on the rise earning mindboggling profits.
