The beef between Michael Jordan and Isiah Thomas has stood tall despite the passing years. Their rivalry began during the early stages of Jordan’s career, and their bad blood never completely subsided. Their long-running feud was amplified with the release of ‘The Last Dance’ in 2020. The series documented Jordan’s journey with the Chicago Bulls, including his confrontations with Thomas and the Detroit Pistons in the late 1980s and early 1990s. MJ made his opinion on the two-time NBA champion pretty clear and Thomas is now out looking for an apology. However, some people don’t share the same sentiment as that of IT.

Analyst and NFL legend, Shannon Sharpe offered his insights into the recent happenings between Jordan and Thomas. Sharpe has usually been on the other side of the fence when it comes to MJ, but the former tight end had a surprising take on Thomas’ comments.

Isiah Thomas’ latest demand from Michael Jordan

Isiah Thomas recently appeared as a special guest on the All The Smoke podcast and he opened up about Jordan’s comments from The Last Dance, where the six-time NBA champion called Thomas an “a*****e” and stated that he hated the former Pistons star. Thomas is still looking for an apology from His Airness.

In a recent episode of the Undisputed show, Shannon Sharpe offered his insight on the feud. He said, “Zeke, you gotta let this ride bruh. You talking about, ‘If he didn’t mean it’, he meant it. That’s why he said it. What he said about you is how he felt about you, Zeke. You’re not gonna get no apology. Michael Jordan will be on his deathbed, he ain’t apologizing. And so just let it ride Zeke.”

Shannon mentioned that Thomas might still be angry over missing out on two Olympic Golds during his playing days. He was probably the biggest snub from the iconic 1992 Olympic Dream Team. Even without the Gold, he’s still one of the greatest guards the league has ever seen.

He continued, “You’re an NCAA Champion, you are a two-time NBA champion, you’re a Finals MVP. You’re the top 50 player, you are a top 75 player. Skip, you gotta let this go. Michael is moving on with his life. Look Michael say what he says. Michael don’t care. I know enough about him to know he doesn’t care.”

Shannon wants his friend to move on from this feud and let bygones be bygones. Thomas is still reeling from the apparent damage that was caused to his reputation by MJ, but that’s a thing of the past now according to Sharpe.

The Dream Team snub still haunts the Pistons legend

Isiah Thomas responded to Michael Jordan’s comments about him and the Detroit Pistons that were made on The Last Dance. Thomas stated that if he could do it all over again, he would do things differently. He also expressed regret for not being on the Dream Team. Thomas was reportedly not selected at the instance of Magic Johnson, who didn’t have a great relationship with the Pistons legend either. According to Thomas, this remains “the biggest hole” in his exemplary resume.
