With big paychecks for all the hard work they do on the court, many athletes boast of some pretty fancy wheels in their garages. LeBron James and Michael Jordan and their collection of supercars is a testament to that. Interestingly, both the legends share a love for owning Ferraris.
Both have a pretty luxurious collection of cars, and just like the GOAT debate, it is impossible to gauge whose garage is better. LeBron’s collection includes cars from Lamborghini, Ferrari, Mercedes, and Porsche. However, not too far behind ever, Michael Jordan once notoriously flaunted his five Ferraris to an NBA player.

LeBron James owns a Lamborghini Aventador Roadster, which is estimated to be worth US$670,000. James bought his first Ferrari in 2009 on the occasion of turning 25. He also owns a Ferrari 599, Ferrari 458 Spider, and a Ferrari F430. It is reported that his 430 can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 3.6 seconds, achieving a top speed of 315km/h.
Michael Jordan has been getting tough competition from LeBron for the GOAT spot. It is not surprising that their collection of Ferrari’s is comparable too. M.J. and his competitive nature have found a way into his love for Ferrari as well. Notably. Jordan owns a Ferrari 512 TR with a license plate that read ‘M – AIR – J.’
Michael Jordan and his crazy Ferrari story
Michael was not just a competitive opponent, but also a fierce teammate. Once during his Washington Wizards era, he went out of his way to taunt Antoine Walker.
Walker once arrived at the gym for a workout in his brand new Ferrari. Soon after, ? Michael Jordan, for an entire week,?showed up wearing a jumpsuit and matching his Ferrari to his outfit.?
Years ago Antoine Walker showed up to a workout with Michael Jordan by showing off his new Ferrari. So, M.J. one-upped him in the most M.J. way possible.

Jared Jeffries said, “We were in Chicago at Tim Grover’s gym. Antoine Walker pulls up in some Ferrari, and he was like, he just got it. M.J. was like, ‘you know what? I’m gonna bring a different color Ferrari every day this week with a matching Jumpman jumpsuit.’ Bro, he pulled up in a Ferrari with a matching Jumpman jumpsuit for the whole five days we were playing. That’s the kind of swag he had.”
?Jordan’s teammate recalled this story on NBCSports and the ‘Wizards Talk’ podcast. The five Ferrari stories with Walker will forever be one of his most iconic ones.
