Michael Jordan wanted a girl
Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan was one of the fiercest competitors on the court during his time in the NBA. However, he had a soft side when it came to his family, especially his kids.
Jordan’s ex-wife, Juanita Vanoy was already the mother of his eldest son before the two tied the knot. Shortly after their marriage, she was pregnant once again. Jordan wished to have a girl this time while Vanoy wished for a boy.
During the 1991 interview, she said, “The second time I was pregnant, he was wishing for a girl and I really wanted a boy.” Although, MJ’s second child turned out to be a son, he was blessed with a baby girl in 1992. Moreover, he was blessed with twin daughters, Victoria and Ysabel in 2014 following his marriage with Cuban-American model Yvette Prieto in 2013.
Jordan once almost critically injured his son

This was revealed by Marcus Jordan during an interview. He said, “And so, Jeff was going for a touchdown, and I’ll never forget it, my dad tackles Jeff into the glass table, Jeff hits his head on the glass table.” This injury resulted in around 25 stitches for Jeffrey Jordan. MJ was obviously hurt by his son’s injury, but he didn’t want his son to get a free pass while competing with him.
