Michael Jordan in Chicago Bulls was one of the greatest athletes to exist, and for a good reason. There are plenty of stories to signify the greatness of ?His Airness?, and in 2019 former NHL star narrated another one of them. Jeremy Roenick recalled how back in 92? the duo engaged in quite a bit of golf before Jordan was about to play against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Roenick reminded everyone why Jordan was one of the greatest athletes. The NHL icon recalled how 36 holes of golf before the game couldn?t stop the man from destroying his opponents.

Back in 2019, the NHL icon came on the McNeal & Parkins show podcast and reminisced about earlier days. The conversation swung to many events in his life, including his hanging out with Michael Jordan.
In 1992, Roenick and Jordan went to Sunset ridge to play golf, and what ensued is an amazing story. The duo played 18 holes of golf while betting on it. And according to Roenick, Jordan lost a thousand dollars on the first bet.
Jeremy Roenick on Michael Jordan
Jeremy Roenick assumed that was the end of it as Michael Jordan had to play the Cleveland Cavaliers later that night. But MJ persisted for another 18 holes, and Roenick agreed. According to Roenick, Jordan lost the round again and also some money. Meanwhile, they were drinking all along, 10 beers each. Roenick revealed another important part of the story following that.
?And I?m like messing around. I?m like ?I?m gonna call my bookie and I?m gonna bet all the money that you just lost to me I?m putting on Cleveland tonight?,? Roenick said.

He further added ?He goes, ?I?ll tell you what,? he goes, ?I?ll bet you that we win by 20 points and I have more than 40.? I?m like ?Done?. Son of a gun goes out and scores 52 and they win by 26 or something.?
Jordan had 44 points that night, it can be forgiven given the NHL icon was narrating something from over 25 years ago. But that takes nothing away from the amazing story and MJ’s greatness.
Jordan had a great year in 1992 with the Olympic Gold and the NBA title. Jordan?s 1992 season was him solidifying his place in basketball history, showing everyone that he?s here for a long time.
