The Golden State Warriors had quite an eventful year. The champions of the NBA 2021-22 season didn’t get their trophy served on a silver platter though. The team struggled quite a bit to get to the NBA Finals. Moreover, even the finals against the Boston Celtics proved to be just as hard for the Warriors. However, just when the championship ring seemed like a lost cause, the baby-faced assassin worked his magic on the court and led his team to an epic win! Evidently, Steph was also awarded his first Finals MVP trophy.

During a press conference, Steph was asked what inspired him to take on the mantle and lead his team to the win. The Golden State Warriors star said that he got his inspiration from His Airness after he watch The Last Dance documentary. Furthermore, he respected Michael Jordan for the fact that he never made anyone do something he wouldn’t do himself.
?He set the bar for what work ethic was, and that grind he tried to set the pace with his actions. I?ve always carried that with me as the standard for what I expect from my teammates, I live up to that as well,? said Curry.
Steph brought up a MJ quote from The Last Dance doc when asked about his own personal leadership style. “He(Michael Jordan) never asked anybody on his team or in the organization to do anything that he wouldn’t do himself.” 🐐🐐 pic.twitter.com/8IBNUDMEKA

Hearing Steph compliment MJ, anyone would forget for a second that the two were involved in a controversy about three years ago. Although it looks like the two have long ago buried the hatchet, the incident had become a hot topic when it occurred.
Michael Jordan jokes about Stephen Curry’s Hall-of-Fame inclusion
NBA legend Michael Jordan made some controversial remarks during an interview with Craig Melvin from TODAY. The former Chicago Bulls star was asked to choose four guys that he would like to include in his Dream Team. In response, MJ picked Scottie Pippen, Hakeem Olajuwon, Magic Johnson, and James Worthy. Earlier in a 2013 interview, Jordan was asked the same question and he had chosen the exact same players. Melvin further inquired if his answer would offend Stephen Curry who had already won two NBA championships at the time.

“I hope not. He?s still a great player. Not a Hall of Famer yet, though. He?s not.” said MJ while laughing.
Jordan received a lot of backlash for the comment he made, but his old pal and fellow NBA legend Magic Johnson came to MJ’s rescue. Johnson took to Twitter and stated the reason why Jordan made such comment. He wrote that being the owner of the Charlotte Hornets, MJ would have been fined for praising other players.
?Everyone relax. We know Steph Curry is a future Hall of Famer?Michael Jordan couldn?t say it because he would get fined by the league,? Johnson tweeted.
