Naming Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods the two biggest legends in their respective sports would not be wrong. They both also share a great bond together. Before 2009, the duo used to be seen a lot together, clubbing, partying, playing golf, and chilling.

While their friendship did sort of fall apart after 2009 due to the mess in Woods’ life, they both still hold huge admiration for each other. The former bulls star believes that Woods has higher confidence in performing in clutch moments than him. 

As per daily mail co, Michael Jordan said, “The ability to perform in the clutch comes from having the confidence to know that you can. Where does that confidence come from? From having done it in the past. Of course, you have to do it that first time, but after that, you’ve got a model you can always relate back to.”

He added, “The athlete today with more of that kind of confidence than anyone is Tiger Woods. Look at his record. If he’s got a lead, he keeps it. If he needs a big shot, he makes it. And the more he does it—the more he comes through when he has to—the more confident he is he can do it again.”

The friendship between the two was extremely renowned. Woods and Jordan frequented each other’s company in private and at public appearances, most notably at the 2007 Wachovia Championship. Jordan became increasingly immersed in the world of professional golf as their bond grew stronger, routinely attending charity tournaments and practically every United States team event. 

However, Woods’ world would come crashing down not long after, signaling the end of his lengthy connection with Jordan. Woods removed himself from the public eye and those closest to him after his marriage infidelities were revealed in 2009. More than seven years after the public breakdown of Woods’ private life, Jordan would rekindle his friendship with him. Their relationship, though, hasn’t been the same since.
