In one such instance, Jordan humiliated NBA veteran Bill Cartwright. Unlike many others, Cartwright did not take the disrespect silently, and he issued a stern warning to Michael Jordan.
Cartwright said, “Look, if you ever do anything like that again, you will never play basketball again because I will break both of your legs.” This came after MJ humiliated Cartwright in front of the whole Chicago Bulls dressing room.
Bill Cartwright and Michael Jordan had a troubled relationship
There are a handful of players who have managed to have a good relationship with Michael Jordan, and one of them is Charles Oakley. He played for the Bulls, while Jordan was relatively new to the league. Subsequently, the two became good friends.
However, the Bulls decided to trade Oakley to the New York Knicks which brought in Bill Cartwright to the team. Needless to say, Jordan was annoyed with Cartwright for replacing a good friend of his. The 6 time NBA champion resorted to taunting Bill and called him a ‘Medical Bill’ in reference to Bill’s age.
