He is averaging 27.3 points per game in three games this season. However, their star guard, Russell Westbrook, is yet to settle down in LA, despite joining them ahead of the 2021-22 season. With Westbrook’s struggles and Dennis Schroder’s injury, the Lakers have been looking elsewhere for their point guard solutions. Now, the Lakers could reportedly make a deal for Terry Rozier if Charlotte Hornets engage in the discussions.

Los Angeles Lakers have a strong roster this season as well. However, the players have been struggling to perform for the purple and gold. The pressure is always high when you wear the Lakers jersey. With Russell Westbrook‘s continuous struggles to find form and Dennis Schroder’s injury, the Lakers have reportedly found their point guard in Terry Rozier. The 17-time champions tried to sign the 28-year-old in the off-season but the trade deal couldn’t materialize. The report of the Lakers’ interest in Terry Rozier went viral on social media.

While the season has started in embarrassing fashion for the Lakers, there is still hope that a turnaround can happen. However, dwelling on the decision to make trades will only harm the franchise and it will be better to pull the plug before all hope is lost.

Terry Rozier was a Lakers target during the offseason as well. However, the Lakers failed to find a deal to bring him to LA. Instead, the Lakers added Patrick Beverly and Dennis Schroder to their roster ahead of the season. With Schroder nursing an injury and Beverly taking time to settle in, things could get worse for the Lakers.

Charlotte Hornets have made a strong start to the 2022-23 campaign. They are now 2-1 up with their latest win coming up against Trae Young’s Atlanta Hawks. Shams Charania of The Athletic reported the Hornets might be reluctant to trade Terry Rozier at all, given their incredible start to the new season.

But the Lakers are among the most successful franchises in the NBA. There’s a reason players want to play for the Lakers. However, for now, Michael Jordan‘s Hornets hold all the cards for the trade and the Lakers will have to be hopeful of a deal in the future.
