Further, Chapman once shared a story on sports presenter Rich Eisen’s podcast. The former Heat guard claimed that one of the most underrated assets that helped MJ dominate the NBA was his massive hands.

Michael Jordan once palmed a massive bowling ball

Rex Chapman recalled a story when he and Jordan went bowling with a bunch of friends. MJ was talking to his friend with his back turned towards the lane. The 14-time All-Star did not realize that he needed to throw a ball to reset the pins. So, instead of turning around and taking a shot, Jordan picked up a 17-pound bowling ball and palmed it toward the pins backward. Chapman stated, “Picked that 17-pound ball up like a grapefruit. And never stopped [talking].”

Rich Eisen reminded Chapman of the incident when the NBA veteran made an appearance on his show in 2021. Eisen said,?“You told a story on my podcast of him rolling a bowling ball backwards, to try and clear a lane right. And he palmed it.” Subsequently, Chapman proceeded to explain how MJ’s physical gifts coupled with his indomitable spirit helped him dominate the hardwood to an unprecedented extent.
