Michael Jordan is one of the most ruthless competitors of all time. Jordan left no stone unturned to get into the heads of his rivals. The 6-time champion has a number of bizarre tales of competitiveness. Recently, Max Kellerman reacted to the Warriors winning the franchise’s fourth NBA championship in eight years. And talked about Jordan and his antics during the NBA finals in relation to Klay Thompson calling out Jaren Jackson.

The Golden State Warriors recently won their 4th NBA championship. This was immediately followed by star players Stephen Curry, Draymond, and Klay Thompson taking to social media with their retorts. The trio did not hold back from calling out everyone that tried to take a dig at them.

Kellerman talked about how this takes him back to the Michael Jordan and the Chicago bulls days. Jordan was a master at trash talking. However, Jordan would not do it to throw his rival off or weaken them. MJ would do it to motivate his competitors. He wanted his opponents to be their best selves when he beats them.

They would try to get you off your game and get you angry.’ Stephen A said, ‘No, Jordan’s intention was this. He wanted you to be motivated to be at your very best, so that when he beat you; you knew he beat the best version of you!’…”

The Warriors play the mental game like Michael Jordan

The Tweet that Klay was referring to came after the Warriors lost to the Memphis Grizzlies in the regular season. Jaren Jackson made fun of the Warriors’ slogan on Twitter and it seems the warriors kept receipts.
